Crooked Creek Float - 2011

The Friends canoe float of Crooked Creek on Sunday, June 5 was production (800 pounds of trash was policed up), educational (Ben Levin spoke about streamside issues such as erosion, gravel build up, and such), and fun (the floated ended with an authentic crayfish boil provided by David and Linda Lemoine).

See the Baxter Bulletin article here.

The day was pretty (very) hot, but former Friends' presidents Jerry Weber and Gene Dunaway solved the heat problem by dumping their canoe right at the beginning of the float.
