Gravel Road Workshop in Mountain View Aug 24-25
The Nature Conservancy and US Fish and Wildlife Service are hosting a workshop on Alternative Maintenance Practices for Unpaved Roads at Mountain View, August 24-25. Friends will be co-sponsoring the food for the event as well and helping spread the word. The program offers a variety of simple and inexpensive practices to reduce drainage problem and maintenance cycles on unpaved roads. This saves the county money, improves citizen travel and reduces sediment flows into our creeks. The workshop is designed for counties, municipalities, agencies, private contractors, landowners, road foremen, drivers, and others who manage unpaved roads. The first day will be classroom based and the second day will be out in the field at demonstration sites in partnership with Stone County. Click here for details.
